Ran into an old friend who just retired from MA Fish and Game. We chatted about tenkara ( He is a tenkara enthusiast) and he said that tenkara is legal in MA but the valsesiana method is not . Two hooks is the max in MA. Evidently, he follows this blog....yikes . Loose lips sink ships and all that!
So Chris Stewart, bewarned......... no four fly rigs in the commonwealth!
Best fishes in the new year to all the tenkaranauts out there.

Fished MA earlier this year, and though I didn't know of that limitation, no laws were broken. I almost always fish killer bugs singly, and that was what the trout wanted.
It is a shame, though, as alla Valsesiana is a nice way to fish.
