I prefer the telescoping folding gaff, the perfect complement to a Tenkara rod. You can get your very own at http://www.psfishing.com/telescopic-gaff.html Don't delay; order soon while supplies last!

The gaff is way too nasty for me. I think you would do more damage with it than with a net. Sorry, to each his own.

gentlesheperd,

I think jbenenson has his tongue firmly planted in his cheek with that comment.

My net is simply stuck in the back of my pants for easy access.

And yes... I have taught my dog to point at fish.

Can these be bought here in the USA? I'd purchase one but if I'd have to pay shipping from Japan it wouldn't be worth it.

This EZ Folding Net has been around forever .... This link will bring you to the cheapest I found it .. about 22 bucks. I need small, but large enough to do the job

The EZ-Fold nets have very large knots and gaps, and I believe can be VERY damaging to fish. If you do catch and release, I'd suggest you do not use them, or replace the bag with some other material.
If you're really looking for a folding net, I'd recommend the one from Chris (Tenkara Bum): http://www.tenkarabum.com/daiwa-one-touch.html
