Here we go again kids, the big fat fly swap! With fall rapidly approaching, big terrestrial season will be upon us soon. I don't know about you but I love throwing big bugs at big fish...
The rules...
1. We will close registration on August the 13th, this gives you a week to sign up.
In the interest thread, we had 7 or so, that shouldn't be a problem.
2. Try to get your bugs to me no later than the 25th, so start tying now. You should be able to knock out a half a dozen in an afternoon. This way I can hopefully get them back to you by Sept. 1.
3. Keep with the theme, make it big terrestrial patterns (hoppers, beetles, ants etc.). You don't have to use foam, but if you never have, here's a fun opportunity to give it a shot. Make them as big, ugly and flashy as you want, I'm not scared. Just tie up 1 per participant, excluding yourself.
4. Shipping. After the sign up deadline has passed, I'll PM everyone my address here in CO. You'll send me your flies and a pre-payed/stamped envelope. I will return your box/container (make sure it has your name on it) with the fly mix, but just not your pattern if you didn't send me enough to send back to you.
5. Get on it dog gone it!
