Still working on my box until my spring break trip to Central Oregon to first cast the Ito :D

Hook: Targus #14 barbless
Thread: Griffith's 14/0 dun color
Rib: single strand yellow silk floss
Body: thread, waxed and wrapped to a taper then burnished to a smooth glossy finish
Thorax: mole dyed olive
Hackle: medium dun hen

Looks great. There have been times I'd hit you up for a dozen in #20 for my local tail water. I'd happily fish those on most of my local streams with a tenkara rod though.

Thanks, I'm having a good time with the sakasa style. When I lived near the coast I would tie and fish large bright reversed hackled flies for sea run cutthroat. Always had fun with them. The technique there was to fish them like a streamer with three to four short strips then a pause. This one looks really good under the water. The ribbing mutes out a bit and blends with the body more. The silk takes on a little glow.

This is nearly the same pattern as the tan dun I posted earlier with changes to the material color. I'm trying to be creative but restrained to keep my box simple. Trying anyway.

An excellent fly Carl, that body would be perfect on a European March Brown.
Nice use of traditional fly dressing techniques.
You've given me some ideas for a variety of March Browns.
